End Grain Cutting Boards

Our end grain cutting boards are designed for serious kitchen prep and everyday use. Crafted with the wood grain oriented vertically, these boards offer a durable, knife-friendly surface that stands up to frequent chopping while helping preserve your blades.

Made in small batches and finished with a food-safe beeswax conditioner, each board is built to be both functional and long-lasting. Whether you’re prepping meals daily or looking for a hardworking board that still looks beautiful on the counter, end grain boards deliver performance you can rely on.

Built for Daily Prep & Knife Work

End grain cutting boards are constructed by aligning the wood fibers vertically, creating a surface that allows knives to slip between the fibers rather than cutting across them. This design helps reduce visible knife marks and supports the board’s ability to self-heal over time.

Because of their thickness and grain orientation, end grain boards are especially well suited for chopping, slicing, and dicing on a regular basis. They provide stability on the counter and a solid feel during use, making them a favorite among home cooks and professionals alike.

Finished with a food-safe beeswax conditioner, these boards are easy to maintain and designed to age gracefully with proper care, developing character while remaining dependable in the kitchen.

Cutting Boards vs Serving Boards

End grain cutting boards are designed for frequent knife use and food prep, while serving boards are intended primarily for presentation and light slicing. If your priority is durability, blade protection, and daily performance, an end grain board is the right choice. For entertaining, charcuterie, and display, a serving board is often a better fit. Many kitchens keep both to cover every task.

How do I clean and maintain an end grain cutting board?

Simply hand wash with warm water and mild soap, towel dry it immediately and then stand it on it's edge until completely dry.
