Our Story
It started with
a horse.
Quirky Pirate is named after Pirate—my horse, best friend, and daily reminder that life is a little more interesting when you're curious, creative, and willing to wander off the beaten path. He's quirky, full of personality, and always keeps us smiling. We wanted our business to reflect that same spirit.
How We Began
Long before there were lasers or acrylic signs, there were trees.
Many of the hardwoods we use are harvested right here on and around our property in Ohio. We mill the logs, kiln-dry the lumber, and treat each board as something that will be used, loved, and passed down.
There's something incredibly rewarding about seeing a tree become a beautiful board that a family gathers around at the table.
Growing Our Workshop
As our creativity grew, so did our workshop.
Today, you will find handcrafted wood pieces at the heart of what we do, but we expanded our designs to include premium materials like acrylic, leather, slate, ceramic, and glass.
These materials allow us to create everything from dimensional business signs and awards to personalized gifts, memorial pieces, home decor, and branding solutions for small businesses.

We believe great design should tell a story.
It should make people stop, smile, ask questions, and remember your business—or your gift—for all the right reasons. That’s why every piece is thoughtfully designed and carefully handcrafted one at a time. We don’t believe in mass production. We believe in craftsmanship, creativity, and making something that’s uniquely yours.
